Jim and Ashley Cash are multi-instrumentalists, award-winning recording artists, and seasoned educators who have spent over two decades guiding students and seekers toward deeper creativity, greater wellbeing, and lives lived in resonance. Co-founders of a Northern Virginia private music academy, they bring the precision of master teachers and the depth of active performing artists to everything they offer.

Both Jim and Ashley studied anthropology at George Mason University — Jim with a focus on mythology, Jungian archetypes, and ethnomusicology studies; Ashley with a focus on world religions, linguistics, and the cross-cultural dimensions of healing. That shared academic formation is not incidental: it is the intellectual foundation of everything Sonic Arts offers. Jim trained classically on guitar through a direct lineage of Andrés Segovia, and his songwriting has been licensed to TLC and Discovery. Ashley began formal vocal training at the Westminster Conservatory of Music at age twelve, received GMU's Outstanding Anthropology Student Award, and is certified by the Sound Healers Association under Jonathan Goldman.

Their work reaches across traditions. In 2019, they led a seven-day sound healing retreat in Costa Rica — daily educational workshops on frequency and the chakras, nightly healing concerts, and private sessions for individual participants. They have performed at the Washington Monument with a 250-person choir, at the Guru Nanak Festival on the National Mall, and at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM). In a memorable collaboration at DC's Gypsy Alley, they joined forces with the Zotigh Singers — Native American performers associated with the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, led by Dennis Zotigh — weaving traditional pow wow drumming into an original Woven Green song in a genuine reciprocal exchange between traditions.

Jim and Ashley are based in Sterling, VA, touring the East Coast USA & San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
